© Tea Party with Snorkel 2011 I love guitars.  I’ve been playing most of my life but I’ve never been very good.   I have in recent years started studying guitar theory more and I’m trying to improve my playing and overall knowledge of the instrument. While I had a couple of knock off guitars in my younger days, I bought my first real guitar in 1982, it was a cherry sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard.  I still have that guitar to this day and I still love it.  I purchased a Gibson ES-335 a couple of years later but I sold it (regrets...) to pay the rent in 1989. In 1999 I purchased the Kramer Hundred-Series from a friend. Great playing guitar.  I wanted to learn some lower tuning stuff so in 2000 I bought the Ibanez 7-String.  A truly amazing guitar to play. In 2006 I had the cash to purchase a Les Paul Custom, which I always wanted.  It’s really sweet but won’t stay in tune.  My love for Eric Johnson’s playing let me to his signature strat in 2007.  The red strat I got when I traded my American Tele. I gutted that strat and put in the Roland Poly guts. I also have an Applause 6-string acoustic and an Ovation/Applause 12-string. 1981 Les Paul Standard 2006 Les Paul Custom 2007 Eric Johnson Strat 1998 American Strat 90’s Hundred Series 610 2000 RG Series 7-String GUITARS “Shut up and play your guitar.” Frank Zappa
