© Tea Party with Snorkel 2011 As much as I love guitar, I love bass even more.  I got my first one when I was around 14. It was an SG style knock- off and I loved it.  I heard some John Wetton with King Crimson and dug the overdrive on it.  Later in Entourage, Jeff (keyboards) had a fretless Yamaha bass that I played all the time. Jean Luc Ponty was always on the record player so I jammed a lot of that stuff. In the late 80’s I bought a cheap bass used (can’t remember the name) and played that for a few years.  In about 1995 I bought an Ibanez SR-5 5 string bass and loved it.  I played that one until 2006 when I traded it in and bought an Ibanez 6-string (which I ended up giving to Jason in Lotus).  I needed a new bass so I wen to Bass Central here in Orlando and bought the Spector. Later  While in Seattle, I played my first Dingwall at Bass Northwest.  What a dream.  It was a 4 string and I bought it for Richie to use in The Lotus Experiment.  Around that time I got it in my head to finally buy a Chapman Stick.  I saw Tony Levin use one with Crimson in the 80’s. Killer instrument although I still can’t play the thing much.
